We arrived home and the next morning we had guests from Canada camping in our yard. Gordon and Marge had been reluctantly heading home but were very glad to have a place to stay a little longer. The weather held for us as we had a chance to play tourists around Hesperia, Victorville, and Apple Valley. We even took a cruise along old Route 66. They also got to visit our local VW parts shop and yard. Gord was amazed to see so many cars with so little rust.
Time for a little maintenance and a day of garage saleing and it was time for them to head for points east. We sent them off with instructions to check out camping in Laredo Texas, our jumping off point for the Mexico cruise in November.
